NCB Investigates Links Between Dawood Aide and Chemists
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is taking a closer look at the connections between Dawood Ibrahim's aide, Mohammad Salim Dola, and some chemists in India. Dola, a 59-year-old man, is currently in the NCB's custody in Mumbai until May 8. He was recently brought back to India from Turkey.
Dola's alleged links with these chemists are being probed, and some of these individuals will be called in for questioning in the near future. According to officials, Dola was operating with the help of these chemists to run his drug trafficking syndicate.
Dola has quite a reputation in the international drug trade. He's been nicknamed the 'Mephedrone King' due to his expertise in trafficking this particular type of synthetic stimulant drug. Mephedrone is also known by other names like drone, M-CAT, white magic, and bubble.
The NCB is also looking into Dola's plans to obtain Turkish citizenship. It's been reported that he was using aliases like 'Hamza' and 'Abdul' in Turkey and was planning to buy some property in the country. The NCB might approach Turkish authorities to get more information about his residency there.
Dola's past is quite checkered. He's been involved in several high-profile cases involving seizures of heroin, charas, and other drugs in Maharashtra and Gujarat. He was arrested in Turkey last week after a request was made by the NCB through Interpol in 2024.
