Chaos at Chennai Airport: Passenger Jumps from Taxiing Flight

Imagine being on a plane, feeling a bit under the weather, and then suddenly deciding to jump out of an emergency door while the plane is still moving. That's exactly what happened on a Sharjah-Chennai Air Arabia flight earlier this morning.
The plane had just landed at Chennai International Airport and was taxiing slowly when the passenger, believed to be unwell, opened the emergency exit door and jumped out. The sudden act caused panic among the other passengers, who were shaken but thankfully unharmed.
Airport officials confirmed that the passenger was quickly secured by personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and handed over to the police for further investigation. The investigation is ongoing, but it's believed that the passenger may have been feeling unwell during the flight, complaining of a vomiting sensation and vomiting twice on board.
The incident briefly disrupted airport operations, with the main runway being shut down for a few hours as a precaution. Flights were diverted to the secondary runway during that period. Despite the alarm, officials confirmed that there was no damage to the aircraft or injury to passengers or crew.
The passenger's identity has not been officially confirmed, but unverified reports suggest he may be from Pudukkottai district in Tamil Nadu. Authorities have launched an investigation into the breach of aviation safety protocol, and we'll be keeping an eye on this story as more information becomes available.
