Tamil Nadu Election: Mixed Exit Poll Predictions as Parties Maintain Confidence

The people of Tamil Nadu are eagerly waiting for the results of the state's high-stakes election, which will be announced on May 4. To gauge the mood of the voters, exit polls were conducted, but their predictions are leaving everyone confused.
Chief Minister MK Stalin seems to be taking a cautious approach to the exit polls, which have placed his DMK party in a mixed bag of predictions. At a recent gathering in Chennai, Stalin struck a confident note, saying that his party will get the reward for its hard work on May 4. He also credited his late father M Karunanidhi for making May Day a national holiday and reiterated the DMK's governance plank.
The exit poll landscape in Tamil Nadu is unusually fractured, with different surveys predicting a different winner. While some polls have placed the DMK in the lead, others have predicted a debut victory for actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. The AIADMK has also been projected to win, but by a smaller margin.
Despite the mixed predictions, the DMK, AIADMK, and TVK are maintaining confidence in their chances. The AIADMK has outright rejected the exit polls, saying they have historically underestimated the party. The TVK's Nirmal Kumar also expressed optimism, saying that the ground reality will defy conventional projections and deliver a mandate in their favour.
The DMK camp is also expressing confidence, with spokesperson Dr. Syed Hafeezullah describing pro-DMK projections as "conservative". He claimed that the party will secure a clear majority on its own, leaving everyone eagerly waiting for the results on May 4.
