Delhi Building Fire: Rescue Efforts Underway After Devastating Blaze

The city of Delhi was left reeling when a devastating fire broke out in a four-storey building in the Vivek Vihar area. The blaze started on the second floor of the building around 4 am, with flames quickly spreading to the third and fourth floors.
Rescue teams were rushed to the scene, with 14 fire engines arriving to tackle the fire and evacuate those trapped inside. Despite the best efforts of the firefighters, the fire was able to claim the lives of at least nine people, with two more injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
A video taken at the scene shows the shocking aftermath of the fire, with charred bodies, collapsed structures, and huge debris scattered everywhere. Rescue workers can be seen carefully recovering the bodies and wrapping them in white cloths to be handed over to the authorities.
As the investigation into the cause of the fire gets underway, officials are left trying to piece together what may have triggered the blaze. Some local residents have suggested that a faulty air conditioner may have been to blame, while others remain unsure.
Local MLA Sanjay Goyal visited the scene to take stock of the situation and show his support for those affected. The Delhi Police crime team has taken control of the investigation, with the cause of the fire still unknown at this time.
