Telangana CM Revanth Reddy in Delhi to Push for Hyderabad Metro Phase II Nod

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy arrived in New Delhi to secure Central Government approval for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase II expansion project. He is scheduled to meet Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar to finalize pending clearances.
The state government has submitted the Detailed Project Report for the proposed metro expansion to the Centre. Reddy is expected to urge the Union Minister to expedite approval for the infrastructure upgrade covering Hyderabad and its suburbs.
The project aims to extend the existing metro network to high-density corridors to ease urban congestion. Telangana officials maintain that timely Centre approval is critical to meet construction and funding timelines.
The Union Ministry is reviewing the DPR for technical and financial compliance. The ministry will complete its assessment in the coming days, with a formal decision expected shortly.
