FIR Filed Against Anantnag MLA's Wife, Son Over Alleged Locking of Government Hospital
Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the wife and son of Anantnag MLA Peerzada Mohammad Syed for allegedly locking a government-run hospital in the Damhal Khosipora area of Anantnag district. The FIR was filed on May 5, 2026, at Achabal police station in south Kashmir.
The officials confirmed the registration of the case following a complaint about restricted access to the health facility, which is operated by the state government. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
The police are investigating the circumstances under which the hospital was locked and who authorized the action. Authorities have not disclosed whether the MLA is directly involved.
