Man's Twisted Revenge: Using Fake Tinder Profile to Lure Strangers to Ex's Home
Imagine receiving messages from someone you thought was interested in you, only to show up at their home and find out it was all a ruse. This is exactly what happened to a woman in the UK, who was targeted by her ex-partner using a fake Tinder profile.
The woman's ex, Asad Hussain, created a fake account using her photos and personal details, and proceeded to send multiple men to her home under false pretenses. He shared her address, phone number, and email with these men, telling them she was interested in meeting up for...well, let's just say some pretty disturbing activities.
The men, thinking they had been invited by the woman, showed up at her home, believing they were in for a wild night. But when they arrived, they found out it was all a lie. Some of them even tried to force their way in, damaging property and causing her and her child to live in fear. It's shocking to think that this man would resort to such levels of manipulation and control.
The police were eventually able to track down Hussain using location data and vehicle records. He denied any involvement, but the evidence spoke for itself. He was arrested in October 2024 and is now facing charges of stalking, assault, and failing to comply with a section 49 RIPA notice.
The investigating officer described the case as 'highly disturbing', and it's easy to see why. This man's actions were not only hurtful to his ex-partner, but also put her and her child in harm's way. It's a sobering reminder of the dangers of online dating and the importance of being vigilant when interacting with strangers.
