Meet the New Faces Behind Niti Aayog
Imagine having experts from all over the country come together to solve some of India's biggest problems. That's basically what Niti Aayog does, and now it's getting two new team members who are sure to shake things up. Joram Aniya and R Balasubramaniam are the latest additions to the thinktank, and they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from all over the world.
Joram Aniya is a professor and a trailblazer from Arunachal Pradesh. She's the first woman from her community to earn a doctorate, and she's made significant contributions to literature, culture, and indigenous knowledge systems. Her expertise is in teaching, research, and public policy engagement, which will be a huge asset to Niti Aayog. Aniya has written and edited many books on Nyishi literature and culture, and she's a highly respected voice in her field.
R Balasubramaniam is a physician with a passion for social change. He's the founder of the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement and the Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement, which shows his commitment to making a difference. Balasubramaniam has taught at Cornell University and has a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University. He's also a member of the Capacity Building Commission, which is a great example of his ability to work with different organizations and make a positive impact.
Both Aniya and Balasubramaniam are joining Niti Aayog at an exciting time. The thinktank is getting a new vice chairman, Ashok Lahiri, and several other new members.
