Mumbai Woman Speaks Out Against Police Indifference During Traffic Jam

Teena Choudhry, a commuter from Mumbai, recently became an overnight sensation after she stood up to the Maharashtra Water Resources Minister and local police at a rally. But what you might not know is that her story began long before that viral moment. Choudhry explains that on April 21st, she was trying to get her daughter to music class. She got stuck in a massive traffic jam caused by a protest by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).\ \
\ Choudhry said that she got out of her car to figure out what was going on. The traffic jam was caused by two buses that were parked on the road where the rally was happening. She tried to find a solution, so she approached every single police officer at the scene and asked them to move the buses.\ \
\ However, Choudhry claims that she received no reaction from the police. She says that she got frustrated and eventually threw a bottle of water onto the ground to get the police's attention.\ \
\ In her video statement, Choudhry emphasized that she comes from a family of public servants. Eight of her family members, including her father, served in the Indian Army. She believes that when you wear a uniform, you're in public service, and that gives you a responsibility to treat everyone with respect.\ \
\ Choudhry also urged politicians to stop using her as a way to attack others. She says that all parties are guilty of ignoring the general public, so they should stop using her for their own gain.
