Landslide Chaos: Jammu-Doda Highway Blocked, Lives at Risk
Imagine being stuck in a place where you can't move anywhere. That's what thousands of people are facing after a massive landslide struck near Pul Doda on the Jammu-Doda National Highway. The road, which connects Jammu with Doda and Kishtwar, is now completely blocked by debris.
The situation is getting worse by the minute as more and more debris keeps falling onto the highway. Rescue teams are trying their best to clear the road, but it's like trying to move a mountain. The road has been shut down, and people are stuck in their vehicles or nearby areas.
Meanwhile, in Jammu city, a small bridge in the Bantalab area collapsed on Friday. The bridge was already damaged in last year's flash floods, and labourers were trying to fix it when the disaster struck. Four labourers were trapped under the debris, and one was rescued with injuries. Unfortunately, two of them didn't make it.
The scene was chaotic, with rescue teams, police, and the army rushing to the site to save those trapped. They managed to pull out one injured labourer and took him to the hospital. The incident serves as a reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly things can go wrong.
As rescue operations continue, people are holding their breath, hoping that the situation will improve soon. We will keep you updated on the latest developments.
