Rahul Gandhi Slams Centre Over Inflation, Claims 81% LPG Price Hike in 3 Months
Rahul Gandhi isn't afraid to speak his mind, especially when it comes to inflation. The opposition leader recently took to social media to share some startling figures about LPG prices, which have seen a massive surge in recent months. He shared a post on X, where he pointed out that the price of a commercial gas cylinder jumped by Rs 993 in just one day, making it the biggest single-day increase. This isn't the only shocker, though - he also claimed that prices had risen by Rs 1,380 between February and the present time, a whopping 81% increase over three months.
He warned that this will have a ripple effect on small businesses like tea stalls, dhabas, hotels, bakeries, and sweet shops, as well as household expenses. The impact will be felt on everyone's kitchen, and eventually, their plates too.
Gandhi had made similar predictions earlier, saying that the government would increase petroleum prices after the polling phases conclude in various states. He even went as far as to say that the Modi government would 'pocket the profits' when oil prices were low, only to 'dump the burden on you' when prices rise.
His sharp criticism of the Centre highlights the growing concerns over inflation and its effects on everyday people.
As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the Centre will respond to these allegations.
