Election Commission Notifies Kerala Assembly Election Results
The Election Commission of India on Tuesday issued the official gazette notification declaring the results of the 2026 Kerala Legislative Assembly elections, formalizing the United Democratic Front's victory with 102 seats, the Left Democratic Front's 35, and the Bharatiya Janata Party's three. The results, initially announced on Monday, were confirmed through the statutory notification process.
Chief Electoral Officer Rathan U. Kelkar handed over the result notification report to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar in Thiruvananthapuram. Election Commission representatives Pawan Diwan, Brijesh Kumar, Abhishek Tiwari, and Additional CEO Krishnadas P. attended the ceremony.
The notification marks the final step in the electoral process, enabling the formation of the new state government. The Governor is expected to invite the UDF to form the administration, with swearing-in arrangements likely to be announced shortly.
