Tragic Accident in Himachal Pradesh: Car Falls 200 Feet, 2 Lives Lost
Imagine being on a road trip, visiting a beautiful shrine, and then suddenly, disaster strikes. This is exactly what happened in Himachal Pradesh, where a car fell into a 200-feet deep gorge, claiming the lives of two people. The accident took place on Wednesday (April 29) in Bharwain, Chintpurni, in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh.
The car, a Maruti Swift, was reportedly on its way back from the Mata Chintpurni shrine, where the occupants had gone for darshan (worship). The exact cause of the accident is still unknown, but it's believed that a tyre blowout might have led to the vehicle losing control and plummeting into the gorge.
What's even more shocking is that the rear portion of the car caught fire even before it fell into the gorge, which may have contributed to the accident. CCTV footage from a nearby hotel captured the entire incident, leaving everyone stunned.
The police and fire department personnel were quick to respond, and a team from the Chintpurni Police Station descended into the gorge to retrieve the bodies. Unfortunately, the vehicle had been completely gutted by the fire by the time they arrived.
The police have registered a case and are still investigating the incident. The identities of the victims have not been established yet, but an Aadhaar card recovered from the vehicle listed one of the occupants' addresses as Tajpur Road, Ludhiana. Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
