The Allahabad High Court has granted bail to Nadeem, who was arrested last year by Uttar Pradesh police for allegedly posting 'I Love Muhammad' on Instagram. Justice Rajiv Lochan Shukla ordered his release after finding the post did not name or target any specific caste or community and noting that the accused has no criminal antecedents.
Nadeem was taken into custody on October 7 in connection with an FIR filed at a Muzaffarnagar police station. His legal counsel argued that he was falsely implicated and that the trial was unlikely to conclude in the near future, supporting the plea for bail.
The court did not quash the FIR, and the trial will continue. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for a later date.
