Actor Vijay's Party Sees Bright Future in Tamil Nadu Elections
Actor Vijay's party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is looking good in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. Party leader KA Sengottaiyan recently shared his predictions for the election results. According to him, TVK is expected to win at least 180 of the 234 constituencies. Sengottaiyan also believes that TVK chief Vijay will become the next chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
Vijay made his electoral debut in the elections, contesting from two constituencies: Tiruchirappalli East and Perambur. Sengottaiyan is confident that Vijay will bring a new vision to the state and rule Tamil Nadu with a visionary mind. He added that TVK has received strong public support during their recent travels.
However, exit polls have predicted a different outcome. Most polls have forecast a return to power for the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA). TVK is expected to win fewer than 10 seats. But Sengottaiyan is not worried, saying that TVK will secure a clear majority. He believes the party will win between 180 and 200 seats.
The counting of votes will take place on May 4, and the outcome will be clear then. But for now, Sengottaiyan is optimistic about TVK's chances. He joined TVK from AIADMK ahead of the April 23 assembly polls and is confident that his decision was the right one.
The majority mark in the 234-member assembly is 118. TVK will need to win at least this number of seats to form the government.
