Head Constable Surinder Singh died after collapsing at a CRPF camp in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. He was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital, and police have begun an inquiry into the cause.
Head Constable Surinder Singh of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died after losing consciousness at the Zainapora camp in Shopian district, Jammu and Kashmir, late Tuesday. Singh, who was posted in Hyderabad, was on duty at the time of the incident, according to official sources.
He was immediately transported to Zainapora hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead upon arrival. No immediate cause of death was provided, and no claims of foul play have been made.
Local police have registered the case and launched an investigation to determine the cause of death. A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted as part of the standard procedure.
