TTD Deploys AI Command Centre to Manage 3.2 Lakh Pilgrims at Tirumala
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Monday reported the deployment of an AI-based Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) to manage an influx of 3.20 lakh pilgrims recorded over the last four days. The system facilitates real-time monitoring and regulation of movement across the Tirumala temple complex to mitigate the impact of the intense summer rush.
The AI infrastructure utilizes an extensive network of CCTV cameras positioned within and outside major queue complexes. This integrated system allows authorities to dynamically manage crowd density, providing data-driven insights to adjust queue flows and prevent bottlenecks in the temple's vicinity.
Temple administrators stated that the use of real-time tracking has significantly reduced waiting times for common devotees seeking darshan. By identifying high-congestion zones instantly, the command center enables security personnel to redirect pilgrim traffic and optimize entry protocols.
The TTD administration confirmed that the AI-enhanced monitoring will remain operational throughout the peak summer season. Officials are scheduled to conduct daily reviews of the ICCC data to further refine crowd management strategies for the upcoming weeks.
