In Italy, US military personnel have been stationed since the end of World War Two. They're spread across several bases in Vicenza, Aviano, Naples, and Sicily. As of last year, there were 12,662 active-duty soldiers stationed in Italy. Britain also hosts a significant number of US troops, with about 10,156 service members stationed in three bases.

Other countries like Spain, Poland, Romania, and Hungary also host US troops. While the numbers might not be as high as in Germany, Italy, or Britain, these countries still play an important role in the US military presence in Europe.
