Deadly Blaze on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Leaves 5 Pilgrims Burned Alive
Imagine being on a trip with friends and family, enjoying the journey, and suddenly everything turns upside down. This is what happened to a group of pilgrims returning from Vaishno Devi on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan. A car caught fire, and 5 people lost their lives in the tragic incident.
The fire started near Maujpur on Wednesday night, leaving the occupants with little time to escape. Three women, a minor girl, and a man were among those who didn't make it. All of them were from Sheopur district in Madhya Pradesh. The car was a CNG vehicle, which made the fire spread quickly.
The driver, Vinod Kumar Mehar, managed to jump out of the burning vehicle but suffered severe burns. He was taken to a nearby health centre and later referred to Jaipur for further treatment. The car was completely gutted in just 15 minutes, and only skeletal remains were recovered. DNA tests will be conducted to identify the victims.
The police are still investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the fire and the circumstances leading to it. It's a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong, even in seemingly safe situations. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of road safety and emergency preparedness.
As the investigation continues, the focus will be on understanding what led to this tragic incident. The families of the victims will be waiting anxiously for the outcome, while the driver will undergo treatment for his injuries. The community will come together to support those affected by this tragedy.
