US Destroys Six Iranian Boats, Downs Missiles and Drones in Strait of Hormuz

US military forces destroyed six Iranian small boats and intercepted Iranian-launched cruise missiles and drones in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, Admiral Brad Cooper, head of US Central Command, said. The operations were conducted to ensure freedom of navigation and protect commercial shipping in one of the world's most critical energy transit routes.
Cooper stated the US blockade of Iran, restricting maritime traffic to and from Iranian territory, remains fully operational and is 'exceeding expectations' in its enforcement. He issued a direct warning to Iranian forces, urging them to keep clear of US military assets in the region.
The Iranian military has not issued an official response to the incident. Regional allies and maritime security agencies are monitoring the situation amid concerns of further escalation.
The US military says it will continue operations to safeguard shipping, while Central Command officials confirm the blockade will remain in place until further notice.
