Food Safety Inspection Finds Unsafe Cooking Oil at KFC Outlet in Kondapur

A KFC outlet in Rajarajeshwari Colony, Kondapur, Hyderabad, has been found using cooking oil with Total Polar Compounds (TPC) above permissible limits during a random inspection conducted Monday by the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and its Food Safety Officer team. Officials also observed dark discoloration in the oil, indicating degradation and potential health hazards.
The inspection was led by the Zonal Commissioner of Serilingampally along with the FSO team, who collected samples for further testing and documentation. Violation of oil quality standards falls under the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011.
Authorities have initiated regulatory action against the outlet, including potential penalties and compliance directives. The court or enforcement body will review the findings and determine next steps in the coming days.
